The name ChariTea® stands for more than just a drink we serve — it also represents our commitment to our community. Every month we select a new charity to partner with and donate 10% of net proceeds from the drink to that nonprofit partner.

AIDS Foundation of Chicago and NY AIDS Coalition!
Our Chicago ChariTea partner is the AIDS Foundation of Chicago! The mission of the AIDS Foundation of Chiccago is to lead the fight against HIV/AIDS and improve the lives of people affected. They are a local and national leader, collaborating with community organizations to develop and improve services, fund and coordinate prevention, care, and advocacy projects, and champion effective, compassionate, HIV policy.
Our NYC ChariTea partner is NY AIDS Coalition! NYAC has assumed a leadership role in managing and representing tens of thousands of people living with HIV and AIDS. Their mission is to secure, strengthen, and enhance New York's community-based fight against AIDS and to promote the fair and compassionate treatment of New Yorkers living with the HIV disease. www.aidschicago.org and www.nyaidscoalition.org -
Beginnings
ChariTea®, the drink, is a delicious combination of hibuscus petals, sweet cherry juice and vanilla that lends a helping hand every day, one customer and one cup at a time. The idea of combining a unique Argo Tea drink with the desire to reach out an make an impact first came to us through a TeaMember. We take our Team’s input seriously and were delighted to bring ChariTea®™ to fruition in early 2008. We work both with locally based non-profit organizations, as well as Chicago chapters of national non-profits in 4 focus areas to make a direct impact on causes that are important to the philosophy and values of our company.

Our Focus Areas
Healthy Living. We support organizations that focus on education and endorsement of healthy living practices as well as those that work to spread awareness, further research and assist patients and their families in combating sickness and disease.
SustainabiliTea™ We are committed to being an environmentally responsible, sustainable business. We strive to spread the arc of sustainable consciousness by supporting other organizations working towards the same goal.
CreativiTea™ We support local artists and cultural organizations in their efforts to enrich the fabric of our communities.
Women (of All Ages). We work with organizations that promote the well-being of women and girls in our communiteas, especially women who are in need or who live and work in underserved areas.
All qualified organizations must provide proof of certified 501(c)(3) status. We specifically look for organizations committed to participation in in-store events at all of our locations, as well as the developing innovative marketing programs that maximize the potential of the ChariTea® partnership.
