Tea was discovered 5,000 years ago in China and today is consumed more than any other beverage in the world, with the exception of water. Iced tea was invented at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair, thanks to one inspired man who served teas over ice on a hot day to attract more customers.
Tea Plant. All teas come from a plant called Camellia Sinensis. This single plant produces thousands of tea varietals.
