as a solo artist and as a sideman for numerous bands. As a soloist he has been an opening act for
such artists as Steve Morse ("Deep Purple") and Scott Henderson. Joe Feloni released two albums:

I personally think his music is very unique and done at a superb level professionaly.
In 1996 Joe Feloni toured with Arthur Meschian as a member of the "Apostles 90"
band. The whole concert tour included a number of concerts in the US and Armenia, ending
with the final appearance in the Yerevan Opera House.
The concert featured some of the old songs of "Apostles" as well as the new ones in the first act.
The second act featured a classic masterpiece with Yerevan Philarmonic orchestra band.
The show was a remarkable success. Having toured with "Apostles 90", Joe Feloni shares his
throughts and memories.
"My experience in Armenia with Arthur was wonderful!!
The people of Armenia treated my friends
Mike,Troy and I so well that we were overwhelmed with kindness (Mike and Troy were other
two musicians who played with Meschian).
In terms of the music, it was an even more overwhelming experience because we
(Mike, Troy and I) don't speak any Armenian at all. So to experience such a
spiritual and emotional response to what we were playing was wild considering we
didn't know what the lyrics were expressing. But , you don't have to speak the
language to feel how there was something awesome going on in the
auditorium. I enjoyed playing Arthur's music very much, because he fuses the
Classical with the Blues, which is very similar to my own music. He was fun to
work with, demanding at times and always very intense and specific but
willing to let you put your own heart and soul into his pieces. I only wish that
we could have toured for awhile to get to know the music better and get to
know Arthur better. He and his family were very nice to us and all the
people of Armenia who came to the shows and talk with us on the streets were
awesome too.
Your mom treated us so well I think Mike, Troy and I
gain 10 pounds a piece from all the wonderful food she prepared for us.
She brought us around Yerevan and the outskirts of the city to show us the
beauty of the country. She and the guys in the band, were so kind to us we
felt right at home. Vahan and Gourgen (referring to Vahan Artsrouni and Gourgen Melikian,
two talented Armenian singers and musicians, friends of Arthur Meschian)
brought us out to dance clubs one evening and showed us the
town of Yerevan at night. Too much fun!!!
Simon I know I'm just rambling, but I'm trying to put in an
E-Mail so much that comes to mind that it probably doesn't make too
much sense. I can only say that my trip to Armenia with Arthur was an
awesome experience socially , musicaly and spiritualy. I learned how extremely
powerful music can be to the spirit of people from playing with Arthur
in Yerevan.
Thanks for asking for my perspective on the 1996 Yerevan shows.
PEACE , HAPPINESS & GOOD HEALTH
JOE FELONI"
